A Cozy Comeback - Meet The Igloolong

Meet the Igloolong, our newest winter seasonal drink, and a true Tala success story.

What originally started as one of our Winnetka café’s exclusive winter drinks quickly became a fan favorite, ultimately earning it a permanent spot on our Winter Seasonal Menu this year. Each season, every café creates one exclusive drink, giving our baristas room to experiment and get creative with seasonal flavors. Last winter, the love for the Igloolong was so strong that this year, we brought it to all three cafés as part of our official seasonal menu — high praise for a drink that began as a local experiment, and defies our traditionally espresso-based menu.

The Igloolong is cozy, layered, and perfectly suited for cold days — crafted with intention, plenty of tinkering, and lots of taste testing along the way. Seasonal drinks like this don’t happen by accident; they’re the result of thoughtful development and collaboration behind the bar, and with our team of curious baristas.

Stop by this winter and try the cozy, tea-based drink that earned its place across all of our cafés — because it’s simply too cold not to indulge in a hot latte. ❄️☕️

Experience the warmth of our Igloolong tea latte, where the delicate, floral notes of oolong tea meet the cozy richness of brown sugar, vanilla, and almond extracts. This soothing blend is perfectly balanced with velvety milk, creating a smooth, aromatic cup that feels like a peaceful escape from the cold Chicago weather.
