Lavender Lemon 75

Valentine’s day is perfectly romantic, and while some may say it’s a hallmark holiday, we could never oppose a good excuse to mix up some cocktails and spend time with the one who makes us smile the most! This year we wanted to have some fun and make a drink that characterizes all the romance and charm of Valentine’s day as we know it. This cocktail is bubbly, floral-y, and definitely fun! So get out your shaker and jigger and favorite coupe glasses and follow along!

Lavender Lemon 75

  • 1.5 oz Empress 1908 Gin

  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 0.5 oz Tala House-Made Lavender Syrup

  • Sparkling wine of choice (we chose a fun pink one for Valentine’s Day!)

  • Lemon peel garnish

Shake the gin, lemon juice, lavender syrup and ice in the shaker until chilled. Pour into coupe glass and top with 1-2 oz with sparkling wine. Peel your lemon rind and rub the peel along the edge of the glass before placing it on the rim. Recipe makes one delicious serving.

This recipe pairs best with your favorite person, some games and a romantic and relaxed evening in. We hope you make the best of this Valentine’s Day and enjoy it for all the intentionality, connection and love it brings!

tala house-made syrups

We make all of our syrups in-house, so all the drinks you enjoy at the cafe come with intentionality down to the ingredients. We currently retail our two most popular syrups: the lavender and the bourbon vanilla. Both of these work beautifully in coffee (of course), cocktails, baking and so much more! Find these syrups at our cafe or online for local delivery. Please note that we cannot yet ship our syrups, but we do hope to be shipping them in the coming months. For now, pick one up at the cafe or order through Neighborly.
