Decaf Colombia

Decaf Doesn’t Mean Compromise

For years, decaf coffee has carried an unfair reputation. It’s often thought of as the coffee you drink when you have to skip caffeine — not the coffee you actually look forward to drinking. But we believe every coffee we roast should be exceptional, whether it fuels you or is simply meant for you to enjoy.

Our Decaf Colombia was sourced with one goal in mind: to create a decaf coffee that tastes just as thoughtful, complex, and enjoyable as any other coffee we roast. Because sometimes you want coffee without the caffeine, and you shouldn’t have to sacrifice flavor to get it.

With tasting notes of cocoa, cherry, and graham cracker, this coffee is sweet, smooth, and balanced with the comforting qualities we love in a great cup. It’s approachable enough for everyday drinking while still showcasing the unique character of its origin.

How Our Decaf Colombia Keeps Its Flavor

Decaffeinating coffee is a delicate process. Coffee beans naturally contain caffeine, but they also contain many of the compounds responsible for the flavors, aromas, and sweetness we enjoy in our daily cup. The challenge is finding a way to remove the caffeine while preserving everything that makes the coffee special.

Many traditional decaffeination methods use chemical solvents to extract caffeine, which can sometimes impact the flavors and characteristics of the coffee. For our Decaf Colombia, we chose a sugarcane decaffeination process: a natural method that removes caffeine while helping preserve the coffee’s inherent flavors.

This process uses a chemical called ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring compound derived from sugarcane, to gently extract caffeine from the green coffee beans. The beans are then cleaned, dried, and prepared for roasting, leaving behind the qualities we love: sweetness, balance, and complexity.

A Decaf Worth Drinking

Whether you’re avoiding caffeine, enjoying a late afternoon cup, or simply love the taste of coffee without the buzz, our Decaf Colombia is made for you.

Expect rich cocoa sweetness, bright cherry notes, and a graham cracker finish in every cup. It’s proof that decaf can be just as exciting, intentional, and delicious as any other coffee we roast.

No compromise, just a really great cup (caffeine optional 😉).
