We hosted our annual holiday party last Saturday at our roastery, featuring the same theme as the cafes: Cozy Cabin Christmas. Everyone came dressed in their best flannels to eat some barbecue and play bingo. We try to get all of the staff together as much as possible, but it was especially nice to have everyone here to celebrate the holidays!

As the holidays came and went, the common denominator in the household was likely the kitchen. Two years ago, I ventured into this tradition for the first time, and while I was overwhelmed and exhausted, it became a highlight of my holiday season. For some reason, stockings have always been my favorite part of Christmas. I know for many people stockings are an afterthought, but in our family their the main event. There’s something magical about the myriad of tiny presents—to me it feels like the grand finale at Fourth of July fireworks shows, a rapid fire of epic little treats.
