Our first Chiroso varietal offering, full of punchy sweetness.
The Chiroso coffee varietal out of Colombia has been getting a lot of attention and hype in the past year or two, and for good reason! It's stirred up a lot of praise for a cup profile that is usually layered with candy and fruit sweetness, its rich mouthfeel, and blossom and floral-like qualities. What’s fascinating is that you can trace this varietal back to having its roots and DNA in the best Ethiopian Heirloom varietals, and because of that, a lot of its cup profile mimics that of some of our coffees from Ethiopia. Needless to say, we jumped on getting samples of this coffee from our friends at Covoya, and we're blown away by the beautiful quality of flavor, especially relative to the price it was coming in at. We taste big, jammy cherry filling sweetness, tangerine juice concentrate, and round apple flavors that had us wrapped around its finger. Coffees like these are what we are known for, and this one might go down as one of the greats!
