April Events

April feels like a real turning point and a breath of fresh air. Spring is springing, the grass is greening, the days are warming, and the light of day makes everything feel just a bit more possible. It’s the start of new warm-weather routines, getting back outside, and finding your rhythm again.

As the weather turns, we’re excited to offer an exciting lineup of events to ring in the season, help you defrost (both physically and your social life), and treat yourself after braving yet another Chicago winter.

Here’s what’s brewing this month:

🔬 Dive Deeper with Coffee Classes at Our Libertyville HQ

If you’ve ever wondered what goes into your favorite cup of coffee, our classes are the perfect way to turn curiosity into hands-on experience. Hosted at our Libertyville roastery headquarters, these classes offer a behind-the-scenes look at the craft of coffee.

☕️ Roastery Tour & Cupping

📅 April 11th - Libertyville Cafe & Roastery

Registration required

Kick off the season with a behind-the-scenes look at what makes your daily cup so special. Join our co-owner and head roaster, Keith, for an immersive Roastery Tour & Cupping experience at our Libertyville cafe and roastery.

This introductory coffee class takes you through the full journey of our beans — from how we source exceptional coffees to how we choose and roast them for peak flavor. You’ll see a live roasting demonstration and participate in an interactive tasting, learning how to identify notes, structure, and sweetness in the cup.

Whether you’re brand new to specialty coffee or just curious about what happens beyond the bar, this class is the perfect way to deepen your appreciation (and maybe discover a new favorite).

Spots are limited, so be sure to register in advance!

☕️ Brewing Basics Class

📅 April 25th - Libertyville Cafe & Roastery

Registration required

Ready to level up your home brewing game?

Join Co-Owner & Head Roaster Keith Lilja for Brewing Basics, a hands-on class designed to demystify the art and science of making great coffee at home. We’ll cover the nitty gritty — extraction theory, grind size, ratios, and technique — all in a way that’s approachable and practical.

This isn’t just a lecture. You’ll get hands-on experience and walk away feeling confident in your ability to brew intentionally and consistently. Plus, each participant leaves with a bag of coffee so you can start dialing things in at home right away.

If you’ve ever wondered why your coffee tastes different from ours (or just want it to taste better), this one’s for you.
