May always feels like the month where things finally settle into bloom. The days are a little longer, our outdoor patios start filling up again, and there’s a certain ease that comes with trading winter layers for sunshine and fresh air. It’s the season of slow mornings, spontaneous plans, weekend wandering, and finally making the switch from a hot latte to an iced one.
As we lean into the warmer days ahead, we’re excited to share yet another lineup of events to celebrate the season — from community gatherings and creative pop-ups to moments that invite you to recharge and make the most of spring in Chicago.

Join us in the training lab on May 9th from 8 AM – 1 PM for a special pop-up with Primavera Petit Bakery, featuring owner Haley Horvat and her delicious lineup of baked goods. Stop by, treat yourself, and don’t miss it!

📅 May 16th | Libertyville Roastery / Warehouse
We’ve been doing some spring cleaning, and we’re ready to clear out some things that have been collecting dust:

Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: A big old-fashioned garage sale, featuring miscellaneous cafe and warehouse supplies we’re hoping can be put to good use elsewhere.
When: 9 AM - 2 PM, Saturday, May 16th.
Where: Libertyville Cafe & Roastery, in the back alley—follow signs for the ADA entrance.

Spring is finally here, and so is our long-awaited seasonal lineup. With a mix of café exclusives and returning favorites like the Ube Latte, Main Squeeze, and Dirty Horchata, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this season. As always, making room for new, café-specific creations means making a few tough cuts, but we couldn’t be more excited about what each team has dreamed up.
