Introducing Tala Tonics
New Mainstay drinks
We are adding a whole new line of drinks to our mainstay lineup: Tala Tonics. These new mainstays are a simple but powerful new line of drinks with a sparkling water base. Each unique flavor is intricately crafted with a house-made syrup which we add to sparkling water for a refreshing pick-me-up. These five drinks are available today at all of our cafes.
A non-coffee feature
We often have people come to the counter who don’t like coffee. How they arrive at Tala Coffee Roasters might vary: many are there with a friend, at a work meeting, a first date or any number of other things. Whatever the case, we have the occasional, “I don’t drink coffee, so I’m good.” It is always such a pleasure to tell people in that case that we have some great non-coffee options. We’ve had people fall in love with our hot chocolate, our teas, etc. Every season as we rotate our menu, we also try to include at least one fun non-coffee beverage.
Although we love coffee, we love people more, and there are lots of people who don’t like coffee. We’ve toyed around for a while now about the idea of launching a sparkling beverage line that would give coffee drinks and non-coffee drinkers alike a refreshing and thirst-quenching treat. After the success we’ve had with our Main Squeeze in recent years, we thought now would be the time to expand that idea to more exciting flavors for a new angle of craft beverages.
Rishi botanical blends
We have used Rishi teas in our cafes for many years, and we have loved their variety of amazing quality teas. In addition to teas, Rishi also makes powder botanical and herbal blends that feature an interesting array of flavors. For many of our new Tala Tonic, we used these as the base inspiration for our syrups.
Passionfruit Mango
Made with a passionfruit alma gotu kota blend, and mixed with mango jucie, this exotic combination is instantly refreshing.
Ginger Limeade
Starting with a lemongrass butterfly pea powder blend, we add ginger and lime juices for an exciting twist on a limeade.
Hibiscus Strawberry Cherry
This fruit bomb has a base of strawberry, cherry, mulberry, and mangosteen with floral hibiscus to round it off.
Blueberry Lemon Matcha
Our crowd-pleasing matcha is added to blueberry and lemon juice for an exciting and refreshing pick-me-up.
Main Squeeze
The Main Squeeze was the drink that inspired all others. This drink has been on our menu for a couple of summers in a row, and we’ve had so much excitement behind it that we thought we could build on that success. We have been surprised by how many people enjoy this drink even in the morning. We have one regular who came for one every day before school.
