This past weekend Highwood celebrated its tenth annual Pumpkin Festival. It’s the biggest celebration of the year in Highwood—which says a lot for a town that has festivals for everything from garlic to country music to a bloody mary. The whole town transforms into a Pumpkin-lined wonderland with scaffolding two stories tall holding pumpkins carved in every imaginable variety. Our cafe sits right outside the boundaries of Pumpkin Fest, so it was a haven to locals trying to escape the crowds and visitors needing a place to warm up.

Our Fall drinks are in full-swing at the cafe, and just in time for the last bits of summer to melt away and all the pretty colors to come in! We’re celebrating the autumn vibes with some fun new flavors and some beloved old favorites.

Mother's Day this year is Sunday, May 13th--but you already knew that, right? It's the day when we get to celebrate the incredible miracle that mothers are and honor all the moms in our lives! I'm sure you've been planning for weeks, but in case you need some last-minute inspiration we're sharing some of our favorite Mother's Day ideas with you!

We're excited to announce two new coffees to our mid-summer line of coffee. This is particularly exciting because all the coffees we have now we will be serving at our cafe in just a few weeks. We can't wait to make you a hot cup of one of these new single origins! 

You have been patiently waiting to find out the big secret: what new coffees are arriving. We have been searching for some good options to add to our lineup this spring. In order to find the perfect coffees we cupped 14 different coffees from regions all over Africa and South America from multiple importers. Out of those 14 coffees, these 2 stood out among the rest. 

We are excited to officially announce that our first cafe will be in Highwood, IL opening in the spring of 2018.

This coffee frosting recipe will stop you in your tracks. It's decadent, rich, buttery and perfectly sweet. This frosting pairs well with chocolate or vanilla cake or cupcakes, and can even go beautifully with lots of other desserts like cookies, bars or--my personal favorite--straight from a spoon. Some of you have heard rumblings of a new coffee company. We're happy to tell you that it's happening! Our roastery is now fully operational and we're taking orders! First orders will be roasted and fulfilled on June 1st.
