Summer is here, and of course it also feels half-over already. We have to soak it up as best we can for as long as we can every year. These delicious summer drinks will help you do just that. Savor the sunshine and drink in the goodness.

Flashback to elementary school, the bell rings, and you book it out of the school chasing the ice cream truck. Sitting on the curb, you devour your favorite treat - Choco Taco, King Cones, or Firecracker. This summer, we wanted to reminiscence on those carefree summer days with two frozen treats we can all enjoy.

The spring drink menu is always a favorite. With a few years under our belt, everyone is always wondering which of their favorites will return this season, and which new ones will arrive. Read on to find out.

When it came time to craft a house blend and an espresso blend we knew we wanted to exemplify our feelings about coffee in these two staples. We sat around my and Stefan’s tiny apartment table cupping samples to decide our blends. When we finally decided on the recipe, we were all obsessed with the final product. Now, we had to name our blends. We finally settled on what you know today: Ruca and Amoret.

We have five seasonal drink menus every year. Yes that is correct—five, not four. We have TWO winter drink menus because midwest winter lasts so long, but also because we feel like there has to be holiday festive drinks for the first part of winter, but we all need a change of pace before long, don’t you think?

The long-awaited Holiday drinks are now available in the cafe. We have some rock-star drinks returning this year, with some slight improvements. Just the other day I had a customer say, “dude I’ve literally been waiting a year for this.”

Running a small business is always a wild ride, but running a small business through a pandemic has been a new kind of wild. What’s more: our cafe has officially been open longer during the pandemic than not. What felt like an emergency interruption has become our new reality. But that’s not unique to us, that’s everyone’s story as of late.
