We hosted our annual holiday party last Saturday at our roastery, featuring the same theme as the cafes: Cozy Cabin Christmas. Everyone came dressed in their best flannels to eat some barbecue and play bingo. We try to get all of the staff together as much as possible, but it was especially nice to have everyone here to celebrate the holidays!

As part of our 8th birthday celebration at our Libertyville Roastery, we hosted a coloring contest, and let’s just say, our community showed up with some serious creativity! We were blown away by the range of entries — from playful to impressively detailed — and had a tough time narrowing down our favorites. Check out our gallery of all of the amazing entries below!

As we approach Mother’s Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible moms and motherly figures who make Tala feel like home. Whether they're raising little ones, offering a listening ear, or simply bringing kindness and strength to every shift, these women embody the heart of motherhood in all its forms.

On October 3rd, we brought the spooky vibes to our Highwood café with our annual staff Halloween party! What better way to kick off the Halloween week than with a little recap of all the fun?

Join us on a “Tala Adventure” as we take our coffee beyond the café and into the heart of the communities we love. Alo takes us on her adventure to a local art festival and to grab a bite to eat.

When I think back at the second year of our cafe, so many memories come to mind. From throwing parties to meeting new people to sharing conversations. The thing that stands out immediately for me above the rest is actually day one. We kicked off year two with an amazing birthday bash.

In celebration of our two-year anniversary at our café, we are having not one but two giveaways lasting all week long. Be sure to participate for epic prizes, good vibes, fun times and lots of air fives.

Our café birthday is next week, August 11th. Celebrations will look a little different this year, but we are going to celebrate nonetheless! Make sure to mark your calendars because we will have festivities all week long.

Today marks the three year anniversary of Tala. That day began a whole host of “firsts” for us. First time selling a bag of coffee, first time being featured in the press, first time hiring a Tala employee, first time opening a cafe. We had talked about each one before launching, looking forward to each as a benchmark of our progress. We’re still hitting firsts today, actually. Every one is exciting and reminds me how worthwhile our hard work has been.
